What was... or is Flag Of Truce?

Flag Of Truce is (and/or was) a band that formed in 1985 amongst a group of friends attending South Carleton High School in Richmond, Ontario. For a brief time, Flag Of Truce was a mainstay of the Ottawa punk scene throughout the mid-1980's as it played numerous benefits for Youth Culture Promotions (YCP) alongside other local acts such as The Trapt and Honest Injun.

Although relatively short-lived in duration, the band earned a loyal following for its driving energy and accomplished songwriting. That loyalty was rekindled in 2007 when a Facebook group was formed by former attendees of YCP concerts, clamoring for a reunion of The Trapt. When the far-flung members of The Trapt agreed to play a show, they asked that the other bands they used to play with at YCP events join them. Flag Of Truce was invited to be a part of this reunion concert and (along with The Trapt, members of Honest Injun, and Fluid Waffle) performed at Club Babylon on November 30th, 2007.

Gone, but not forgotten, Flag Of Truce yet lives.
